IP Set-top Box M300 IP Set-top Boxes offer enhanced capabilities for IP-TV services. Advanced MPEG-4 decoding and PVR functionality delivers optimal bandwidth savings and a flexible viewing experience.

The M300 IP Set-top Box (STB) is designed to satisfy your advanced service and networking requirements, as well as the flexible viewing expectations of your subscribers.

New service revenues and personalized viewing capabilities are made possible with the integrated personal video recorder (PVR) – a key ingredient in future media consumption. An integrated hard disk allows for convenient and silent personal video recording that is both advanced and secure.

A flexible codec design gives you the option of using MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 to meet growing requirements for reduced bandwidth deployments. And if you need to upgrade software or codecs (video and audio), your staff will be able to conveniently manage this remotely from your central office. This security sensitive operation is safely handled and uses public-key cryptography to ensure secure authentication and software provisioning. 

Maximum bandwidth efficiencies
Support for MPEG-4 Advanced Video Codec lets you optimize bandwidth in your network, thereby reducing demand on your access network for multicast TV distribution and on your backbone for video on demand (VoD) unicast distribution.

Flexible viewing and recording
The optional personal video recorder (PVR) increases the end user viewing experience and value of your IPTV service offering. Time-shift viewing as well as instant and scheduled personal recording capabilities provide subscribers with a more flexible and personalized service.
